LAKELAND - Mrs. Frances "Panny" Gorham Hill, 103, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at her home due to natural causes. She was born June 25, 1908 to James, Jr. and Lulu (Tarpening) Byard.
Mrs. Hill was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lakeland, Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.), County Mental Health Board, Chairman of the Wellsville Garden Club and a retired Physical Education teacher at Oneonta High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey D. Hill; and her six brothers and sisters. Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 72 Lake Morton Drive, Lakeland, Fl 33801.
A memorial service will be Monday, Feb. 13, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home (5245 US Hwy 98 North). She will be laid to rest with her husband at the Florida National Cemetery.
