BETTY COOLEY, 86

LAKELAND - Ms. Betty Cooley, 86, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Valencia Hills Rehabilitation Center due to congestive heart failure.
She was born Dec. 11, 1925 in Holmes County, Ohio to Albert and Ethel Weaver. She has been active in the DAV & VFW as a member and served as the Ladies Auxiliary Commander for many years. She enjoyed her family and playing bingo every chance she got.
Ms. Cooley is survived by her son, Charles Shinabarker (Rita) of Lakeland; daughter, Sandy Owen (Clyde) of Smithville, Ohio; grandchildren, Kathy Slater (Jeff), Scott Shinabarker (Tam-my), Patty Wieser, Shaun Shinabarker (Debbie), Kevin Shinabarker (Mel-inda), Kristen Albritton (William), Amanda Wolfe (Jessie); great grandchildren, Jason Shinabarker, Joe Slater, Clifton Slater, Autumn Slater, Rodney Wimberly, Lane Shinabarker, Austin Shinabarker, Chance Shinabarker, Alyssa Wimberly, Taylor Roberts, Erista Albritton, Tyler Shinabarker, Spencer Shinabarker; great great grandchildren, Austin Slater & Bryce Wimberly. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Malcolm Cooley; brother, Donald Weaver; and sister, Fern Faler.
Visitation will be Thurs. (Jan. 12, 2012) from 7-9 p.m. at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd., Lakeland. Funeral services will be conducted Fri. at 1 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Trent Swanson officiating. There will be a memorial service held in Wooster, Ohio at a later date.
