LAKELAND - Mr. Robert W. Baus, 87, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011 due to complication from surgery.

Survived by his loving family.

Joan Sapp

JOAN SAPP, 74
School Teacher

LAKELAND - Mrs. Rudy Sapp passed away August 12, 2011 at L.R.M.C. due to complications of Myeloma.

She was born June 30, 1937 in Paterson, N.J.

Mrs. Sapp was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Joan's favorite activities included being a member of the Card Sharks, playing Mahjong, and participating in the F.R.O.G.S. group. She also enjoyed yearly reunions with her Penn Hall classmates and spending time on Anna Maria Island. She often reminisced of her childhood memories spent in Green Pond, N.J.

Survivors include her husband, Rudy Sapp; daughters, Cindy (Marc) Carll Veatch, Jill (Steve) Butler, and Joy Duncan; sons, Art Carll and Gordon Carll; a sister, Gina Edwards; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Gentry-Morrison Northside Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Clothes Closet of First United Methodist Church.

Margaret Louise Lyman

MARGARET LOUISE LYMAN, 74

LAKELAND - Margaret Louise Lyman passed away in her home Sunday morning, Aug. 7, 2011. She was 74.

A dutiful daughter, loving wife and devoted mother, she was an unfailing source of moral and emotional strength for all of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Parke, and is survived by her sister, Virginia Reineke; her brother, Jacob Vanderdray; her four children, and her 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 13, at 12:30 pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1214 Broad St., Masaryktown, FL 352-796-4066.

Douglas B. Green

DOUGLAS B. GREEN, 73
U.R.S. Vice President

Lakeland -  Mr. Douglas B. Green went home to be with the Lord on Sunday August 7, 2011 due to heart failure.

He was born in Cleveland, OH and moved to this area in 1976. Douglas was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. He was a former vice president of U.R.S. where he was instrumental in the development of the Christina, Pine Lake and Imperial Lakes areas. Douglas completed his career at Green Construction Services in Lakeland.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail and son, Johnny. Survivors include sons, Dan (Julie) Green, Alan (Don-na) Green, Mike (Missy) Green, daughter, Sandy (Jeff) Nilius, all of Lakeland, brother, David (Carole) Green of Brandon, FL, sister, Nancy (Ray) Erickson of Dunedin, FL, 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 at Heritage Baptist Church. Services will follow at 11:00am.

Joann L. Jilbert

  JOANN L. JILBERT, 48

 Lakeland – Mrs. Joann L. Jilbert passed away Sunday July 31, 2011 from cancer.  She was born in Cleveland, OH and moved here from Lodi, OH in 2008.  Joann worked as a realtor for Exit Realty in Lakeland.  She was a member of Church of the Resurrection where she sang in the choir and taught religion classes.  Joann was also a former Girl Scout troop leader.  Survivors include her husband, Paul Jilbert, son, James Stokes, Jr., daughters, Jennifer (Seth) Beaver, Catherine Jilbert, Elizabeth Jilbert, brothers, Anthony Morgano, Sam (Marielen) Morgano and grandchild, Cohen Beaver.  A memorial mass will be celebrated 11:00 am Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Church of the Resurrection in Lakeland. Interment will take place on Thursday, 9:30am at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
