Food Service Supervisor
LAKELAND - Joyce L. Hunt, 86, formerly of Plant City, passed away Aug. 16, 2011 due to Alzheimer's.
She was a resident of Lakeland since 1984, working as a supervisor in the food service business. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, and served as a missionary in the Philippines with the Faith Training Center of So. Carolina.
She is survived by her four daughters Arlene Barker of Georgia, Edna Rohland and Sandra Stephens of Lakeland, and Esther Kersey of Bradenton; her brother R. L. Daniels and her sister Rubye Abbott, both of Plant City; her 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sat. Aug. 20 at 11:00 am at The Gentry-Morrison Dukes-Steen Chapel, 1833 So. Florida Ave. Friends are invited to call beginning at 10:00 am. The family has requested that contributions be made to Good Shepherd Hospice.
