LAKELAND - Mr. Roger L. Laverdiere, 75, of Lakeland, FL passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Wedgewood Healthcare due to heart failure.

Mr. Laverdiere was born April 2, 1934 in Lewiston, Maine. He served in the United States Air Force during WWII and the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his son, Michael R. Laverdiere of LaGrange, NC; and a daughter, Elizabeth Allen of Harpswell, ME.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Gentry Morrison Funeral Homes, Northside Chapel. Burial will take place at the Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, N.C.
