EDWARD T. "ED" CONDON, 75
LAKELAND - Edward "Ed" T. Condon, 75, passed away on March 22, 2009, at his home, surrounded by his family. Cause of death was pulmonary fibrosis.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Laurine Condon; his son Edward T. Condon, Jr. and wife Eliana; his son Bruce Condon and wife Kay; and his son Cliff Condon and partner Zjef van Bezouw. His is also survived by his sister Anna Mae Baldwin; his brother Redmond Condon and wife Cissy; and sister-in-law Pauline Condon, wife of deceased brother Walter Condon. He was loved dearly by his family including 29 nieces and nephews.
Ed was born and raised in Jamaica Plain, a neighborhood of Boston, MA, and graduated from Northeastern University. He served his country proudly in the Korean War. In 1964, he moved with his family to Marlboro, MA, where he worked as an electrical engineer at Raytheon for 35 years until his retirement. In 2001, he and his wife moved to Lakeland, Florida to enjoy their golden years.
He was a good Catholic who lived a Christian life guided by the commandments, "You shall love the Lord with your whole heart" and "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
There are no immediate plans for a memorial service but the family hopes that friends would remember Ed in their prayers.
