EATON PARK - Jerry Wayne Kent, 57, of Eaton Park, died Monday, June 30, 2008 at his home due to heart failure.

He was born April 22, 1951 in Blount County, Alabama to Garland and Lillian (Cahela) Kent and moved to Eaton Park in 1952. Jerry worked throughout Polk County as a construction foreman.

He is survived by his father, Garland Kent of Eaton Park; daughters, Shannon, April, Kristin and Sabrena Kent all of Lakeland; a brother, Danny and his wife, Gail Kent of Tampa; a sister, Carolyn Kent of Mulberry; several grandchildren and numerous aunts & uncles also survive.

A memorial service celebrating Jerry's life will be held 9:30am Thursday at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, Lakeland.
