LAKELAND - Mr. George E. Simmerlein, age 63, passed away June 24, 2007 due to cancer.
Mr. Simmerlein was born on Oct. 23, 1943 in Janesville, WI to John and Bernadene Simmerlein. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He later went to work for G&K Services, Tampa for over 30 years as a route sales professional. Mr. Simmerlein was a devoted family man and husband, and was a father figure to many. He enjoyed the outdoors, and found peace while in nature. His outdoor hobbies included tennis and fishing. Mr. Simmerlein was a very giving and caring person, and would do anything to help others. He was of the Lutheran faith.
Mr. Simmerlein was preceded in death by his twin boys, John Durward and Timothy Sean; and his brother, Fred. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Connie; daughter, Kim Craun; and granddaughter, Bryanna Nicole Craun, all of Lakeland.
A memorial service will be conducted Fri. at 2:00 p.m. at Gentry-Morrison Dukes Steen Chapel, 1833 S. Florida Ave., Lakeland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823.

LAKELAND - Cheryl Myers, 54, died Friday, June 22, 2007 of heart failure.
Born in Illinois, she has lived in Lakeland since 1965. She was a homemaker and enjoyed plants, gardening, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband John Myers of Lakeland, daughter, Heather Reed of Tallahassee, brothers, Paul Hughes, George Hughes, both of Lakeland, David Hughes of Palatka, FL, Bob Hughes of Babson Park, FL, sister, Doris Martin of Lakeland, and grandchildren EmmaLea Reed, Everett Reed, and Abigail Reed all of Tallahassee.
A memorial service for the family will be held.

LAKELAND - Mr. Arther D. Morrison, Jr., 85, passed away June 20, 2007 of heart failure at the Hawthorne Inn Assisted Living Community.
Mr. Morrison was born in Pontotoc, Mississippi on May 11, 1922 to Arther, Sr. and Alice Morrison. He was a Navy veteran, and a very successful real estate broker. Mr. Morrison was a very kind, generous man who never met a stranger. His greatest love was helping friends, being outdoors and having animals around him.
Mr. Morrison was preceded in death by his wife Reba. He leaves behind relatives and many friends, all that he considered his family.
A memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 26 at 5:00 PM at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland.

LAKELAND - Mr. John L. Whisler, Sr., 84, died Thursday June 21, 2007 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to complications from a fall, he was 84.
Mr. Whisler was born in Vinita, Oklahoma and moved to Lakeland from Haines City six years ago. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Colonel after devoting 34 years of his life to the military. He served during WWII, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Era, receiving many decorations, medals, citations and commendations. John also was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, and a member of the St. Anthony's Parrish.
He was preceded in death in 2001 by his wife Jane Kehoe Whisler who also served in the U.S. Military. He is survived by his two sons, John L. Whisler, Jr. of Papillion, NE and Chester O. Whisler, II of Rochester, NY; a brother, Tom Whisler of Haines City; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A funeral Mass will be Monday June 25 at 8:30 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial with full military honors will be Monday at 11 AM at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fl.

LAKELAND - Edgar V. Sendrikowski, 86, died Mon. June 18, 2007 of heart failure.

LAKELAND - Mrs. Kymberly Jane Harris, 37, passed away on Sun. 6/17/07 due to complications from giving birth to twins.
She was born in Wyandotte, MI and moved to Lakeland from Southgate, MI in 1989. Mrs. Harris is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was the administrator for Florida Presbyterian Homes in Lakeland. She was currently working on a masters degree and licensed as a nursing home administrator as well as for Assisted Living Facilities too.
Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, Jay C. Harris, daughters, Ashely Jane, Zoey Katelynn, Abby Ruth and Bailey Ann Harris, all of Lakeland, parents, Don & Arlene James of Lakeland, brothers, Gerald James of Riverview, MI, and Jeffrey James of New Boston, MI and a sister, Lynda James-Gilboe of Ann Harbor, MI.
A memorial service will be conducted Wed. 6/20, St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4450 Harden Blvd., Lakeland at 11:00am. A remembrance service will take place on Sat. 6/23, Florida Presbyterian Homes at 2:00pm.
