LAKELAND - Ms. Frances Jean Noble passed away Feb. 25, 2007 of respiratory failure at the age of 69.

Ms. Noble was born in Brooklyn, NY on Jan. 12, 1938 to John and Genevieve Noble. She was a member of York Catholic High School Alumni Class Reunion Committee, National Association of Credit Management, Board of Directors for Lake Bentley Condo Association (Treasurer), Active Volunteer at the Polk Theatre, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, York, PA and Resurrection Catholic Church. She moved to Lakeland from York, PA in 1993. After retiring from McCrory Distribution Center, Ms. Noble worked at Exact Express and Munchel's Fine Jewelry.

Ms. Noble was preceded in death by her son, Kristopher B. Kerchner; daughter, Kimberley J. Schoenenberger; foster son, Bob Clancy; sister, Jacqueline Reever. She is survived by her sons, Robert P. Kerchner, Jr., Anthony M. Kerchner, Eric C. Kerchner; daughters, Jacqueline E. Harmon, Lisa M. Boldizar, Karen A. Howard; foster children, Donnie Crowl, Cindy Clancy, Tina Plum; brother, John F. Noble, Jr.; sister, Joan Munchel; 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held on Thurs. at 11 am at Resurrection Catholic Church, 3855 S. Florida Ave. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823.

Ralph Gauthier

LAKELAND - Mr. Ralph G. Gauthier passed away on Feb. 24th at his home due to Alzheimer's, with his wife and daughters by his side.

He was born in Williamansett, MA and moved to Lakeland from Salisbury, MD in 1972. Mr. Gauthier retired form the City of Lakeland as a superintendent of the motor pool, and was a former superintendent of the motor pool for Perdue Food Company in Salisbury, MD. He was a WWII veteran with the US Army Air Corp, a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, a lifetime member of International Lions Club, a former President of Florida Lions Camp where he built the church steeple, a lifetime member of Lakeland (Dixie Land) Lions Club, member of the American Legion Post #4, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Czech-Slovak Society of America.

Mr. Gauthier is survived by his wife of 62 years Blanche, daughters, Beverly Maginn and Denise Davis all of Lakeland and grandchildren, Scott & Valerie Maginn, Tammy Coleman, Ami Davis-Yoder, Laura Hogan and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tueday Feb. 27th from 6 - 8pm at Gentry-Morrison/Dukes-Steen Funeral Home, 1833 S. Florida Ave. Services will be conducted Wed. 11am at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.

Born April 10, 1941 in Clayton, Alabama he worked in the Boiler Industry for over 40 years. He attended the North Lakeland Presbyterian Church and was a Navy Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Blair; 2 daughters, Janet James and Jennifer Brown; son-in-laws, Jay James and John Brown; a sister, June Harrison and 5 Grandchildren, Teal, Jeffrey, Jason, Nikki and Whitney. Mr. Blair was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Crook and a brother, Sonny Blair.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007 at 3 P.M. from the Gentry-Morrison Northside Chapel, Lakeland.

Ms Dixon was born in Baxley, GA on Feb. 21, 1933. She was a homemaker and attended Victory Church in Lakeland.

Ms. Dixon was preceded in death by her husband, E.D. "Bud" Dixon in Dec. 2002 and her daughter, Debra Dixon this past week on Feb. 18th, 2007. She is survived by her sons, Jerry Alan Yon and Ronald Dean Dixon, daughters, Judy Ann Yon and Wanda Jean Yon all of Lakeland, brothers, Jabo Walker of Baxley, GA, Billard F. Walker, Jr. of Lakeland, Carlos Walker of Winter Haven and Robert Walker of Polk City, sisters, Nadine Willis of Eaton Park, Hilda Mitchem of Haines City and Shirley Walker Bush of Auburndale, 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday the 25th from 2-4pm at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.

LAKELAND - Pastor Richard "Dick" G. Gibson, 77, of Lakeland, died Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Florida Presbyterian Home, Lakeland of cancer.

Dick was born May 10, 1929 in Media, IL to Paul and Faye (Lawyer) Gibson. He graduated from Monmouth College in 1950 and after three years serving as a missionary in Egypt, Dick went back to college and graduated from Pittsburgh-Xenia Seminary as an ordained minister. After graduation, Dick returned to the mission field and served for another forty-five years in Egypt, Lebanon and Cyprus. Upon his retirement, Dick returned to school and studied computer science at the University of Illinois, Champaign. He moved to Florida Presbyterian Home in 1998 and used his knowledge of computers to train senior citizens in the working of the internet and e-mail. Dick was known for his quiet, unassuming, patient way of helping anyone who was in need.

He is survived by his sister, Rachel Neff of LaHarpe, IL; nephews, Michael Neff of Carthage, IL and Dallas Neff of LaHarpe, IL and nieces, Debbie Neff of Morton, IL, Martha Kindred of Bloomington, IL and Denise Brown of LaHarpe, IL.

Memorial services will be held 10:00am, Friday, February 23 at the Glen Moore Chapel of the Florida Presbyterian Home, Lakeland.

LAKELAND - Mrs. Debra Kay Dixon passed away February 19, 2007 of heart failure at the age of 49.

Mrs. Dixon was born in Bartow on December 26, 1957 to Bud and Betty Dixon. Debra was a graduate of Lakeland Senior High School and attended Traviss Vocational and Technical School. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Debra was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Billard F. Walker, Sr.; maternal grandmother, Lina Elizabeth Walker; and father, E.D. "Bud" Dixon. She is survived by her mother, Betty Ruth Dixon; brothers, Jerry Alan Yon, Ronald Dean Dixon; sisters, Judy Ann and Wanda Jean Yon; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Wed. (Feb. 21, 2007) at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd., Lakeland. Services will be on Thurs. (Feb. 22, 2007) at 2 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park, Bartow Road.

LAKELAND - Mr. Gilford L. Cote passed away February 16, 2007 of cancer. Mr. Cote was born in Woonsocket, RI on November 23, 1938 to Elphege and Eloise Cote. He was a veteran of the military and later moved to Lakeland from Rhode Island. Mr. Cote was a truck driver for the City of Lakeland.

Mr. Cote was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis and his son Louis Cote. He is survived by his sons, Robin, Gilford, Jr., James, Scott, Dusten Cote; daughters, Marianne, Elsie, and Angie Cote; brothers, Donald and Robert Cote; Godparents, Joe Ferrinti and JoAnn Chubka; 29 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 21, 2007) at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland.
