LAKELAND - Concetta (Connie) Cingari Mead Summers of Lakeland died of natural causes on December 21, 2006.

She is survived by her son Eddie Mead of Lakeland and daughter Virginia Mead Wilson of Pensacola, their spouses Celeste Mead and Talbot Wilson, and also, her brother Domenico (Nemo) Cingari his wife Rosa and their two children Nick and Emily all of Lakeland. In her native town of Taormina, Sicily, she is survived by her sister Francesca D'Angelo and her brother Rosario Cingari and many other family members.

LAKELAND - Theodore Robert "Bob" Scheiderman was born on February 27, 1929 in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Theodore and Rena Scheiderman. Mr. Scheiderman died on December 27, 2006 in Lakeland, Florida due to complications from pneumonia.

He was 77. Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a retired Lakeland Fireman and in his spare time he enjoyed wood working and candle-making.

Mr. Scheiderman was predeceased by his wife of twenty-six years, Carolyn Scheiderman, his son, Larry Robert Scheiderman and his sister, Joan S. Taylor. He is survived by his daughters, Cindy (Mike) Boyer and Rebecca (Silas) Bryant; son, Mike (Karen) Johnston; granddaughters Melinda Boyer and Anne Marie Boyer and nieces, Joanne Gove and Robin George.

There will be a Memorial Service Saturday, December 30, 2006 ,12:30 p.m. at Bob's home for family and friends.

LAKELAND - Anthony Nowak, 81, died Wednesday morning at his home of cancer.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio he was a US Navy Veteran of both WWII and the Korean War. After his discharge Anthony spent over 11 years as a Detroit Firefighter. He later became a partner in Ed's Transmissions in Elyria, Ohio, which he operated for 20 years. Anthony was an honorary member of the United Polish Club of Elyria, VFW Post 3724 of Standish, MI and American Legion Post 0118 of Amherst, OH. He was also a member of Resurrection Catholic Church, Lakeland and helped as a handyman in the Villas II Community.

Preceded in death by 2 brothers: Joseph Slabchuck and Edward Nowak, he is survived by his wife Virginia Gulvas Nowak, 2 sons Mark and Thomas, 1 daughter Geraldine Patterson, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday December 30, 2006 at 9:30am, at the Gentry Morrison Dukes Steen Chapel 1833 So. Florida Avenue Lakeland, Florida. Interment will be private at Florida National Cemetery.

LAKELAND - Mrs. Dorothy Irene Wathen passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the age of 96 due to heart failure.

Mrs. Wathen was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 28, 1910 to Wesley and Ruby Schupp. She came to Lakeland from Pittsburgh in 1953, and worked as a bookkeeper for Peoples Bank. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Wathen was preceded in death by her husband, William Guy Wathen, and her son, William Robert Wathen. She is survived by her granddaughters, Kim Rogers and Shari Middleton; great-grandchildren, Chad W. Rich, Matthew C. Middleton, Heath D. Rich, and Keli R. Middleton.

Visitation will be Thurs. (Dec. 28, 2006) from 6-8 pm at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd., Lakeland. Services will be Fri. (Dec. 29, 2006) at 2 pm at the funeral home.

LAKELAND - Drenda Z. Kimball, 62, passed away December 23, 2006 of congestive heart failure.

Mrs. Kimball was born in Washington, D.C. on July 14, 1944.  She moved to Lakeland in 2001 from Clearwater, FL.  Mrs. Kimball was a member of Lakeland Christian Church and was a much loved nurse for many years.  She will be missed and was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband George Kimball of Lakeland, daughter; Naomi Marie Talwar, granddaughter, Angeli Marie Di'Masi, both of Sanford, FL; brothers, Ralph Gaskins, Jr. and Michael Gaskins both of Tampa, FL.

Visitation well be Thursday Dec. 28th from 6 - 8 pm at Gentry-Morrison/Dukes-Steen Chapel, 1833 S. Florida Ave. and services will be conducted on Friday, 10:00 am at Lakeland Christian Church, 901 W. Beacon Road.

TREASURE ISLAND - Mr. David Lee McCoy, 47 died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006 at his residence. Cause of death is pending.

He was a native of Williamson, West Virginia and moved to the Central Fla. area (Tampa) in 1977 from West Virginia.  Mr. McCoy was a Bellman for the Tradewinds Resort in Treasure Island and a member of Idlewild Baptist Church, Tampa.  He was also a Air Force Veteran and loved NASCAR and Basketball and was a loving / caring friend to many.

He is survived by his Parents, Luther and Virginia McCoy of Lakeland; his former wife, Pamela McCoy of Tampa; brothers, Luther McCoy, Jr. (Linda) of Pickerington, Ohio, Terry McCoy of Tampa and Gary McCoy of Arlington, TX; sisters Janet Davis (Lowell) or Piqua, Ohio, Angela Severance (Henry) of Lakeland, Jennifer Troughton (Jason) of Jacksonville, N.C.; 3 nieces, 2 nephews and 2 great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Betty, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, and his great-grandson R.J. Martinelli. He is survived by his daughters Theresa Signorelli, Danbury, CN, Marianne Celano, LI. NY. Elizabeth Litavec, Lakeland, Fl., Susan Gagne, Cornish, NH, son Thomas Litavec, Yorktown Heights, NY, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 26 from 6-8 p.m. at Gentry-Morrison Northside. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church on Marcum Rd. Wed. Dec. 27, at 10 a.m. He will be laid to rest Fri. Dec. 29 at Calvary Cemetery, Long Island, NY.
