LAKELAND - Glenda Sue Warnock, 63, passed away at home on June 27, 2009.

Glenda was born in Sampson, AL on Oct. 13, 1945 to Marvin and Era Hearn. She was a good daughter, sister, mother, aunt and friend to many if she liked you.

Glenda is survived by her mother, Era Hearn of Auburndale; son, Walter Warnock of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Tonya Reilly of Lillington, NC; sisters, Jean Forgue of Lakeland, Gayle Knutson of Montgomery, AL, Cindy Mick of Lakeland and Faye Yates of Auburndale; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted Wed. at 2 p.m. at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd., Lakeland. Glenda's video tribute honoring her life may be viewed at www.gentry-morrison.com

LAKELAND - Susan Hobbs, 56 of Lakeland died of cancer on Saturday June 27, 2009 at Consulate Healthcare.

She was a registered nurse.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Sherman. She is survived by her father, Thomas Hobbs of Las Vegas, NV; son, Thomas Hobbs of Lakeland; sister, Jane Lorrey of Poinciana, FL; nephews, Tim Marcoux and Scott Sherman, both of Lakeland.

Services will be held at a later date.

LAKELAND - Mrs. Maxine Bryant Herbert, 67, passed away June 29, 2009 of cancer.

Mrs. Herbert was born in Clewiston, FL on July 19, 1941 to Willard and Louise Bryant. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served in 1996 as Grand Electra. Mrs. Herbert also was Past Matron of Friendship Chapter 209. She also was a member of Daughters of the Nile, Elim Temple #76. Maxine joined the Gloriosa Garden Circle in 1998. She served as President of The Garden Club of Lakeland, Inc. and Bloomfield Circle. She was installed as the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs District IX Director May 5, 2007. She served in this position for 2 years. Maxine received the FFGC State Life Membership and the FFGC State Hall of Fame awards. She was very active in all aspects of the State FFGC, District IX and Local Garden Circles. Her energy, faithfulness and leadership will be sorely missed. She could organize and follow through with all her might.

Mrs. Herbert is survived by her husband, Lloyd D. Herbert; sons, Lloyd D. Herbert, Jr. and Ronald L. Pierce, Jr. and wife Dollie; brothers, Kenneth W. Bryant and wife Jan, and Thomas J. Bryant and wife Karen; sister, Paula B. Clark and husband Roger; grandchildren, Christina Phelps, Joyce Herbert, Faith Palmer, Derrike, Joseph and Matthew Clark; and 3 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd., Lakeland. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823 or H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, FL 33612.

LAKELAND - John Presley Harrison Everlen, 75, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 due to complications of a stroke.

Mr. Everlen was born February 17, 1934 in Stonington, Illinois. He moved here in 1974 from Illinois. He was an Army Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Everlen; son, John P. Everlen, Jr.; daughters, Karen Gross and Cindy Montgomery; 9 step-children, Carol, Brenda, Sherry, Lisa Anne, Jerome, Lisa, Darlene, Matt and Ginger; brother, Tommy Everlen; sisters, Kathy Fecho and Kay Durbin; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be conducted on Monday, June 29th from 10:00 am until Noon at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Northside Chapel. Funeral services will follow at Noon. Interment will be at Socrum Cemetery.

NANCY SUSAN MUNTZ, 65

LAKELAND - Nancy Susan Muntz, 65, passed away on June 19, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Nancy was born November 7, 1943, to Arthur and Marie Hurlburt, Sr. in Dubuque, Iowa. She moved to Florida in 1973 and took a job working at Manolitos restaurant. She was well liked and respected by all her customers and co-workers and retired after 25 years.

Nancy had such a kind and gentle soul and made friends easily. She enjoyed the beach, her grandchildren, reading, helping others & family get-togethers. She also enjoyed bass fishing and could out fish anyone! Her faith in God was a testimony to her children and she spoke often of the angels in heaven. They know she is now an angel and will be watching over each of them.

She is survived by her children Wade Muntz, James "Jim" (Debbie) Muntz, Dennis (Samantha) Muntz & Susan Muntz all of Florida. Surviving siblings are Ginny Hurlburt of Iowa, Bill (Sandy) Hurlburt of Washington, Jack (Marianne) Hurlburt of Iowa, Bob (Judy) Hurlburt of Wisconsin, Pat Guler of Iowa, Judi (Jerry) Erner of Iowa, Tom (Debbie) Hurlburt of Florida, Jerry (Louise) Hurlburt of Florida and Tami (Mike) Huber of Wisconsin.

Finally, she will be greatly missed by her beloved grandsons Kyle, Cruz, Trevor, Trenton & Baby Jake Muntz and her precious only granddaughter Farrah Muntz all of Florida.

Special thanks to Nancy's niece Dawn Watson & daughter-in-law Samantha Muntz who cared for her during this last year. We appreciate all you have done far more than any words can express and we love you both.

LAKELAND - Mrs. Aguedita Faz Delgado, 85, passed away Friday 6/19/09 at LRMC due to complications of Alzheimer's disease.

She was a retired seamstress with Badger Uniforms, a member of Dama de Cristo Rey and the St. Anthony Parish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosa Hernandez and Pedro Faz; and a sister, Paola Faz Hernandez. Survivors include her husband, Manuel Delgado-Hernandez; son, Cruz Manuel Jaramillo; step-sons: Manuel, Ruben, Humberto and Jesus Delgado-Ruiz; daughter-in-law, Margaret Jaramillo; step-daughters: Lola, Alicia, Ramona and Cherie Delgado; sister, Ana Maria Jaramillo; 22 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home (Northside Chapel).
