Adelma Floranel Wells

ADELMA FLORAMEL WELLS, 79

LAKELAND - Adelma Floramel Wells, 79, passed away, as a result of respiratory failure, Thursday, January 26, 2012. Ms. Wells was born in Lakeland, Florida on January 5, 1933.

Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by both her parents and two siblings. She is survived by daughters: Thresa (Jerry) Follis and Patricia (David) Lockhart, son: Vern (Judi) Wells, grandchildren: Jay Follis, Nicklaus and Andi Jayne Wells and great grandchildren: Jordan and Jayme Follis.

A visitation will be conducted on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 10-11am at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road in Lakeland. A funeral service will follow at the Southside Chapel at 11am with Chaplain Eileen A. Stone officiating. A private interment will take place at Mt. Enon Cemetery in Plant City. For those friends and family who would like to make a contribution in Ms. Wells' honor, the family requests that your contributions be made to either Comfort Keepers of Lakeland or Hope Hospice.

Bobbie Jean Bauer & Alan F. Bauer

LAKELAND - Mrs. Bobbie Jean Bauer passed away January 22, 2012 in Lakeland due to respiratory failure. Mr. Alan F. Bauer passed away on January 28, 2012 due to kidney failure. Bobbie Jean was born April 16, 1936 in Lakeland, Florida to Clarence and Jimmie Mae Wood. She worked for the city of Lakeland as a Financial Clerk for 24 years. Alan was born May 15, 1930 in Milwaukee, WI to Emil and Esther Bauer. Bobbie Jean and Alan were both members of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. They also enjoyed being former members of the Soggy Bottom Bluegrass group.
Mrs. Bauer was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Fred Tolson; a sister, Geneva Harrelson, and a sister-in-law, Charlotte Wood. Her survivors include; her brothers, James E. Wood and Leonard (Linda) Wood; sisters, Betty (Emory) Hayes and Joyce (James) Prevatte.
Mr. Bauer is survived his children Daniel Bauer, Thomas Bauer and Wendy (Robert) Sanders; a brother, Robert Bauer; and grandchildren Morgan and Matthew Bauer. Both Bobbie Jean and Alan had numerous special nieces and nephews.
Visitation for both Alan and Bobbie Jean will be Monday from 10-11 AM at the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church; services will follow at 11:00 AM.

Antoinette Milone

Lakeland – Antoinette Milone, 94, passed away Jan. 24,  2012 due to natural
causes.
Ms. Milone was born in New York, NY on Sept.  16, 1917. She moved to the
Lakeland area 10 years ago from New Jersey. She  attended the
Resurrection Catholic Church, and enjoyed Bible  studies, crafts and
sewing.
Ms. Milone is survived by her son and  daughter in law, John and Barbara
Milone of Lakeland; daughter and son in  law, Joan Milone and Steve
Feigenbaum of Wellington, FL; sisters, Rita  Vendura of Rochester, NY,
Nancy Palmiotto of S. Salem, NY and Grace  Nicoletti of City Island, NY;
and grandson, Jeffrey Milone of La Jolla,  CA.
A memorial service will be conducted Thursday (Feb. 2nd) at 11 a.m.  at
Resurrection Catholic Church, Lakeland.

Arlene Gross

LAKELAND - Mrs. Arlene Gross, 68, passed away as a result of heart failure Wednesday, January 25, 2012.

Mrs. Gross was born June 18, 1943 in Milwaukee, WI. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lakeland.

Mrs. Gross is survived by her husband Robert Gross, daughters: Cindy Sizer of Lakeland, Doreen Buck of Bartow and Ellen Goheen of Lakeland, grandchildren: Lee Ann Butler, Valerie Goheen, Thomas Goheen and Travis Buck and great grandchildren: Troy Sullivan and Isabella Blanton.

A visitation will be conducted Monday, January 30, 2012 from 9-10am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4450 Harden Boulevard in Lakeland. A funeral service will follow at the Church at 10am. Interment will be at Oak Hill Burial Park.

The arrangements are being handled at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel.

Willard "Bill" Scott, Jr.

WILLARD "BILL" SCOTT, Jr., 85

LAKELAND - Mr. Willard Victor Scott, Jr., 85, passed away Monday, January 23, 2012 due to complications of pneumonia. Bill was born November 2, 1926 in Berwyn, Illinois to Willard and Norma Scott.

Mr. Scott served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Scott; sons, Randy, Ron, Billy and Brad Scott; daughters, Kim Liberacki and Cindi Williams; sister, Ruth Vioski; grandchildren, Laura, Nikki, Christopher, Robby, Chris, Kayla, Braden, Nicholas, Willard, Ryan, Alexis, Tristan and Carter; great grandchildren, Alayna, Kaydance, Kaylyn, Nathan.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, Fl 33823.

The visitation will be Saturday from 3-4 PM at the Gentry-Morrison Northside Chapel (5245 US Hwy 98 North). Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home chapel.

Brigitte T. Puskar

LAKELAND - Brigitte T. Puskar, 52, died January 20, 2012 from heart failure.

Mrs. Puskar was born in Holland on Apr. 19, 1959. She was a graduate from Lakeland Senior High School and worked for McKesson.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick Emory; son and daughter-in-law, Trevor and Erica Puskar; daughter, Jeslynn Puskar; mother, Detty Cochrane; father, Albertus Plynaar; sisters, Sabrina Ansel, Paulina DeLap and Diane Papke; nieces and nephews, Michael, Christopher and Destinie Castiglione; and great niece, Christina.

A memorial service will be conducted on Sat. (Jan. 28th) at 2 p.m. at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd., Lakeland.

Mary Christine Swiger

MARY CHRISTINE SWIGER, 62

Mary Christine Swiger, 62 of Tampa, Florida  passed away peacefully on January 24, 2012. During
her lifetime, she  filled many hearts with laughter and love and always
brought a smile to those  she met. Mary worked for over 20 years in the accounting
department of the Courtesy Dealership Group in  Tampa.

She was predeceased by her son, William Robert  Berryman and is survived by her loving husband
of 27 years, Everett Swiger, her  beautiful and caring daughter Stephanie
Lake Berryman, seriously handsome  grandson Beau Berryman and Stacey Berryman,
Beau’s mother, loving sister Jean  Bond, nieces Shawn Noser and Carey Bond,
nephew Kevin Bond, and numerous other  relatives and friends, all who were
honored and touched by Mary’s joy for  life.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 4th from 2-4 p.m. at Wayne & Jean Bond's residence, 4401 45th Street South, St. Petersburg, FL 33711. If you have any questions the family can be reached at (813)833-3490.

Ray Ward

RAY WARD, 65
GTE

LAKELAND - Rayford W. Ward, 65, of Lakeland, passed away Jan. 22, 2012 from ALS-Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Ray was born in Dade City, and moved to Lakeland in 1965. He joined and served in the US Army for 3 years, and returned to Lakeland to begin working for GTE. He worked his way up to Systems & Projects manager, and was in charge of writing courses for training. He retired in 1994 after 25 years.

Ray was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and the F & AM, Masonic Lodge 91 in Lakeland.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Jean; a daughter Dana Ward; a sister Mary Jo Surrency; a niece Debi Hebner; a grandson James Ray Ward; and other loving family members.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012 at 10:00 am from the Bethel Baptist Church with burial to follow in Socrum Cemetery.

Friends are invited to the visitation on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at the church from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
